Syngas DPF + LNT is an integrated solution that reduces particulate matter and NOx emissions using syngas as the regenerating agent. Particulate matter emissions are reduced by 85% and NOx emissions by 70%. This innovative aftertreatment system is simple and reliable, and avoids the complexity and cost of urea-scr.
This system extends the value of our Syngas DPF product and enables LNT operation and regeneration at lower temperatures (200°C) than are possible with urea-scr systems. The same syngas and controller components used in our other products are used here.
Syngas DPF+LNT system recently completed engine test cell trials that have proven the value of our innovative control algorithms to optimize LNT regeneration and reduce diesel fuel consumption. We are now completing system packaging for on-road vehicles. Field trials will commence in Q3 2009 with products available for purchase in 2010.
